How much do you know about fabric safety levels? What are the differences between fabric safety levels A, B, and C, and what are their applications?

Fabric safety levels are usually classified based on their impact on human health, especially in children's clothing and home textiles. Generally speaking, fabric safety levels can be divided into three grades: A, B, and C. The specific differences are as follows:

1. Grade A Fabric:

Definition: This is the highest safety level fabric, with the highest safety grade, and the formaldehyde content must not exceed 20mg/kg. It must also be free of carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, with a pH value close to neutral, minimal skin irritation, high color fastness, and no harmful substances. It has undergone strict testing and certification.

Applicable scope: suitable for baby clothing, intimate clothing, bedding and other products with extremely high safety requirements.

2. B-grade fabric:

Definition: This fabric has a relatively higher level of safety, but may contain some limited harmful substances that meet certain safety standards, but are not as strict as A-grade fabrics.

Applicable scope: suitable for general daily wear clothing, home products, etc. that require skin contact, and products with moderate safety requirements that are not as strict as A-grade fabrics. The formaldehyde content of B-grade fabrics must not exceed 75mg/kg, and they must not contain known carcinogenic substances. The pH value is slightly off from neutral, the color fastness is good, and the content of harmful substances meets general safety standards.

3. C-grade fabric:

Definition: This is the lowest safety grade fabric, which may contain certain harmful substances and has not passed strict safety testing. The formaldehyde content meets basic standards, and it may contain a small amount of chemical substances but not exceed the safety limit. The pH value may be slightly off from neutral, but it will not cause obvious harm to the skin. The color fastness is generally good, but there may be slight color fading.

Applicable scope: suitable for products with lower safety requirements, such as some work clothes, decorative fabrics, etc., which do not directly contact the skin.

In summary, the main difference between A, B, and C fabrics lies in their safety and control of harmful substances. When choosing, one should make a suitable judgment based on specific usage scenarios and safety requirements.
