1680D flame-retardant polyester fabric is a heavy-duty woven material designed to combine high abrasion resistance, dimensional stability and reduced flame propagation. The “1680D” designation refers to the nominal linear density of the yarn rather than the finished fabric weight. A flame-retardant treatment or suitable flame-retardant coating can be added according to the intended application and required test method.

The final specification depends on the yarn construction, weaving density, coating and finishing process. Common finished weights are approximately 400–600 gsm, while commonly supplied widths include 145 cm, 150 cm and 152 cm.
